An Image24 can be converted to a standard java object (a BufferedImage) so that you can do all standard java operations on it. Below you find all methods that deal with that conversion. It may sound difficult, but it is not: The Image24 keeps track of the buffers automatically and will convert when necessary.

Methods

void startoperation()

This method is only important if you are writing extra java code. Call this method before doing an operation on the Image24.

void tryupload()

This method is only important if you are writing extra java code. Call this method if you want to read the data array directly.

void trydownload()

This method is only important if you are writing extra java code. Call this method if you want to use a standard java operation.

void update()

synchronises the double buffering. If you did operations on one of the buffers, it will copy the operations to the other. call update if you want to see the changes on the Image24 on screen. You probably do not need to call this method.

ImageCanvas getIC()

Call this method to obtain the ImageCanvas showing this Image24.

Graphics getGr()

get the graphics object. Using this oject you can apply all standard java image operations on an Image24 Do not store the result of this method, because if you do that the Image24 cannot manage the up/downloading automatically.
